This position supports our commitment to delivering safe, premium cannabis products to our customers. The Quality Coordinator will assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and work collaboratively across departments to monitor and uphold industry and regulatory standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to process improvement, and the ability to navigate a regulated environment with integrity and professionalism. The Quality Coordinator will report to the Quality Manager and/or Director of the facility.

Each day, Jushi team members continue to grow, cultivate, process and manufacture a comprehensive suite of cannabis brands under the names: The Bank, The Lab, Tasteology, Nira + Medicinals and Sèche, which are addressing a wide variety of consumer and patient needs across multiple states.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:


Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Monitor and maintain quality control standards to comply with state and federal cannabis regulations.
    • Assist in the creation and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent product quality.
    • Conduct regular quality audits, inspections, and sampling at various stages of the production process, including cultivation, processing, packaging, and labeling.
  • Document Control:
    • Oversee document control activities, including creating, revising, distributing, and archiving controlled documents.
    • Ensure proper maintenance of records, including quality control records, testing results, batch records, and Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
    • Prepare accurate and timely reports on quality metrics, including trends, root causes, and corrective actions.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives by gathering data, analyzing trends, and recommending corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
    • Engage in troubleshooting product quality issues, providing suggestions for improvement, and implementing solutions.
 
  • Product Testing & Analysis:
    • Coordinate and manage sample collection for microbial, potency, and chemical testing, ensuring accurate and consistent sampling techniques.
    • Verify testing results and work closely with laboratories to interpret and document test data.
    • Ensure timely testing to meet production and distribution schedules without compromising quality.
  • Training & Team Development:
    • Support the training of production and quality teams on SOPs, good manufacturing practices (GMPs), and regulatory requirements.
    • Foster a culture of quality and accountability by promoting the importance of quality control and adherence to policies.
  • Safety & Environmental Health:
    • Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the cannabis industry, including those related to environmental health and safety.
    • Participate in safety audits and inspections, ensuring a safe and compliant workplace for all team members.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
 
  • Education and/or Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field and/or 2-3 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within a regulated industry, such as cannabis, pharmaceutical, food, or biotech, is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
    • Proficiency in using quality management systems and software applications for data collection and analysis.
    • Experience in data analysis and quality metric reporting is preferred.
