THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking to for an experienced Sanitation Specialist to sustain our company’s sanitation policies. As a Sanitation Specialist, you will be responsible for executing sanitation protocols in line with company, local, state and federal guidelines for Pennsylvania. You will also be required to conduct daily sanitation, audits/inspections, Environmental monitoring for sanitation validation and special projects. To be successful as a Sanitation Specialist, you should demonstrate strong leadership skills, a willingness and ability to work well with others and a good eye for detail. A top-notch Sanitation Specialist ensures the manufacturing facility is always up to code and running efficiently.

  • Inspecting the facility to determine sanitation protocols following Jushi standards.
  • Perform and audit sanitation polices and protocols.
  • Performing and documenting cleaning schedules.
  • Performing daily inspections of the entire facility and reporting any irregularities.
  • Audit corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities.
  • Providing feedback to company managers and advising on manufacturing changes.
  • Prepare and use cleaning chemicals for sanitation activities and keep up to date inventory.
  • Hosting services of contractors and external cleaning teams.
  • Verify sanitation documentation for completeness and compliance.
  • Join efforts with EHS to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, material handling and ergonomic requirements.
  • Partner with the Quality department and devise corrective actions in response to the environmental monitoring program.
  • Provide data for sanitation Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to measure the sanitation program efficiency.
  • Determining efficacy of sanitation protocols via environmental monitoring procedures

EDUCATION

  • Highschool diploma and/or knowledge of sanitation techniques.
  • Some knowledge of the food and beverage processing industry.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Detailed knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be well organized, can multitask and has a positive attitude.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Possesses a strong and independent work ethic.
  • Must maintain honesty and integrity in conjunction with the company’s mission, values, and vision at-all-times.
  • Must have your own automobile, a valid driver’s license, and insurance.
  • Must be able to work for a United States employer without sponsorship.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl
  • Some heavy lifting may be required. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job is performed indoors and outdoors. Must be able to work in hot, humid environments for extended periods of time with exposure to dust, allergens, and water. Appropriate PPE will be provided. Activities include extended periods of sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping and bending. Twisting in tight areas may also be required at times.
